As a 45-year-old mother of two, I’m always looking for ways to keep my family entertained during the summer vacation. This year, we decided to stay at Grand West Condos and explore the nearby attractions and facilities. It was a fantastic week filled with fun, adventure, and family bonding. Our Family-Friendly Vacation Itinerary in Katy
Our first stop was the Typhoon Texas Waterpark, and it did not disappoint. The kids loved splashing around in the wave pool and going down the slides. The lazy river was a favorite of ours, and we spent hours floating around on our tubes. The waterpark also had plenty of food options, so we didn’t have to worry about packing lunch.
Next up was the Katy Mills Mall and Houston Premium Outlets. We spent an entire day shopping, and the kids enjoyed checking out the stores and picking out souvenirs. The mall had everything from high-end fashion to kids’ clothing, and we even found some great deals at the outlets.
Mary Jo Peckham Park was another highlight of our trip. It was a beautiful park with plenty of shade, picnic tables, and playground equipment. We packed a picnic lunch and spent the afternoon playing frisbee, volleyball, and soccer. The kids also enjoyed fishing in the pond, and we even saw some turtles swimming around.
LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch was a great place to grab a bite to eat and do some more shopping. The outdoor mall had a variety of restaurants and cafes, and we enjoyed trying out some new foods. The stores were also unique, and we found some great souvenirs to bring back home.
The Katy Heritage Museum was the place we visited to learn about the local history and culture. The museum had exhibits on the town’s founding and growth. It was interesting to see the artifacts and learn about the cultures.
George Bush Park was a great place to get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors. The park had walking trails, picnic areas, and a large lake. We rented kayaks and spent the afternoon paddling around the lake. It was a great way to get some exercise and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Finally, we visited TopGolf Katy, which was a great way to end our trip. The kids had a blast hitting golf balls and competing against each other. The facility also had a restaurant, so we were able to grab dinner and enjoy some more family time.
